Good idea and it folds up very neatly, but this product is very expensive for what is essentially just a folded piece of plastic. Also, with the weight of the iPad it's also very wobbly.

How do you turn your iPad or a more versatile tablet into a 'typewriter?

The 'basic' stand is exactly that and yet is does just what is needed - spreading the ends steepens the viewing angle. The stand folded-together is not much bigger than a comb case and so sits in my pocket.
Couple this with a light, but effective bluetooth keyboard BoxWave Desktop Type Runner Keyboard for iPad 2 (Silver White) and you have an alternative to a laptop or netbook.

I know of someone who has used this combination for weeks and now does not bring the office laptop home. This is an excellent combination and much cheaper than buying 'keyboard docks' or complex 'lids'.

(Works with a Kindle too.)

It is a little expensive for what it is, but I chose it because it's light and it folds flat. Has a little clasp to keep the legs stuck together when folded, and grippy rubberised feet.

The biggest disadvantage is that your tablet is pretty much stuck at a 80-90° angle to the table, depending on how far you spread the legs, but it's sturdy and holds my 7" tablet fine (Galaxy Tab 2 7.0)

Thought this was very over-priced for what it is, but that being said it really does the job.

Sometimes the simplest things are the best - simply unfold it and voila! An instant Kindle Fire stand....

Comes in very handy for all of our Kindles, and would probably work for other tablets too.

Only reason it didn't get 5 stars was the price...

This stand does a reasonable job if a Tablet is used in the landscape position . It is not suitable if you want the Tablet in the portrate position , as it is very unstable . It may be OK for holding a book or a picture frame , but I wanted it to hold my Tablet when I was sitting at the table at home .
