Reliable, Less Expensive
on 11 April 2016
Amazon launched a new private-label electronics brand, 'AmazonBasics' in 2009. According to 'Business Review' this move has increased Amazon's sales and margins and customer satisfaction and loyalty. It is a small line now, including USB and A/V cables, ethernet cables, and blank recordable media, such as DVD-R discs. This line is very reliable, and when you are looking for basics, go for the AmazonBasic. Lower prices is one of the most significant plus. The other plus is that Amazon can use its frustration free packaging. If you have not seen this packaging, it is indeed, very easy to use.
The AmazonBasics USB 3.0 A-Male to B-Male Cable with Gold-Plated Connectors gives full performance and the fastest transfer speeds possible with your USB enabled devices. I used this cable with my printer to see how efficient it is. I did not notice appreciable SuperSpeed, but my printer is pretty old. SuperSpeed is capable of transferring data at up to 5 Gbit/s (625 MB/s), which is more than ten times faster than USB 2.0 technology.
The cable features a standard Type-A USB connector on one end and a standard Type-B connector on the other. I plugged the Type-A connector into my computer, then plugged the Type-B connector into my printer.
I have purchased other Amazon brand products, their new patio furniture line, and found them to be a good grade product, at a lesser price. Amazon stands behind their brands and that is, indeed, a good guarantee.
