I'm really p****d off with the way Amazon keeps changing their pricing. I have had 4 items on my wish list since before Christmas. Today I go to order all of them and one has gone up by £25 and the other by £3. I order all 4 anyway (at a total of over £600) this afternoon and tonight I go into check my orders and the 2 items that had been increased have returned to the price they were yesterday. The system says I can't change the order now (thus preventing me from cancelling and re-ordering at the current low price). I have spent literally thousands with Amazon over the years and I feel downright cheated! I will be very wary before I order from them again.
I agree that the prices do seem to vary quite a bit. The Sennheiser headphones I bought went from about £128 to £160 and back down again over a few weeks and are currently at £140. I just kept regularly monitoring the price before I decided to buy at the lower one. It would not be in Amazon's interest I suppose but a graph showing how the price varied over a period of time would be useful.
Of course many things will also have increased slightly due to the increase in the VAT rate.
I would like to add my disappointment to this thread too. Last week I bought the Sennheiser RS 170 closed headphones for £150 - which was 20% off according to the web site at the time. The next day these same headphones were £169.99 which I thought a tad strange so assumed the offer must have ended. However, today they have been reduced to £113.47! Thats 3 different prices within 4 days - why??? I've lost out on £35 which to me is a heck of a lot of money.Sennheiser RS 170 Closed Digital Wireless Headphone
I have to say I'm now a delighted purchaser. I just phoned Amazon to point out the price deifferential and they have refunded me the difference. :) Fair play to Amazon, they now have one very impressed customer
New Warner Bros. Blu-Rays released in new slipcases released 15 April (all reissues, typically priced at £12.50/£14 on Amazon. Just about all 35 of them in HMV stores 5 for £35 or 3 for £20 or £8 each. Amazon getting so much more expensive for a lot of media. (Title examples Gremlins, Bladerunner, The Town, Wizard Of Oz, Ben Hur, Goodfellas etc.)
