Recommended for stressed out people,

I really love this CD, I've been using it to get to sleep alot.
In a chilled out mixture of rainforest sounds with occasional birdsong, crickets, and light rain showers. Its got no cheesy music underneath it either, which makes it seem much more real, and I think more relaxing. its been really well recorded with all the sounds really clear, without annoying looping that Iv heard in other CDs. Recommended for any stressed out people!

I bought this to play in the background in my classroom. We were working on the rainforest topic and I wanted some authentic rainforest sounds to create the right atmosphere. It was perfect!

Annoying Bird,

This review is from: Amazon Rainforest Sounds (MP3 Download)
This doesnt quite work for me because its not something i can drift off to sleep to or relax to. There's nothing wrong with the recording - its actually a really good rainforest sound, with lots of different birds calls, rain drops, rain showers and crickets. But i find it difficult to relax to because there is too much going on! I find it a bit distracting. Its starts off with a bird that has a call that i just find annoying....and this birds remains in the background even during the rain shower. It also moves into different 'themes' quite quickly - so you have bird calls for a few minutes, then a rain shower, then to crickets, a night time theme then back to annoying bird. I think these 'themes' are a group of the same recordings played in different orders to make it sound like its not a short loop. Instead it just sounds like lots of short loops.
I think this track would be great to have on as background while you are milling around the house doing mindless tasks like cleaning and ironing and where you are not paying that much attention to the detail of it - but if you want to concentrate on something - like writing a book, or want something to drift off to sleep to - then like me, this might annoy you a bit.
