Amazon Adventure Novel Teaser [Kindle Edition]

I have read some of Hammott's other books, Beginnings: Hunt for the Treasure of Rennes le Chateau (The Tomb, the Temple, the Treasure) and Lost Tomb of the Knights Templar and have become a bit of a fan of his writing style. The interest to keep turning the pages never stops in his novels and Amazon Adventure, as far as I can tell from the sample chapters edition, is exactly the same.

The quest for a modern day expedition to enter the Amazon Jungle to find the Lost City of Z and follow in the footsteps of the lost explorer Colonel Fawcett, has all the makings of an exciting action packed thriller. From what I have read so far, the teaser has already revealed some fascinating characters, and a U-boat, (I can't wait to see how that re-appears later on in the story) that promises for an exciting read. I am looking forward to reading the complete book when it is released.

My boyfriend and I were watching a documentary about colonel Fawcet and his disappearance in 1925 when he walked into the jungle never to return a couple of days ago. My boyfriend was interested enough in the story to search for a book to read about the doomed expedition when he came acros Amazon Adventure sample chapter novel about Fawcet. He bought this and Exploration Fawcett He read Amazon Adventure first and he thought it was a great read, he loves action adventure books, and then said I should read it, so I did even though I am not so keen on this type of book. But as soon as I started I found it hard to stop. From page one I was drawn into the story and found the characters believable and it was easy to quickly form a sort of bond with them. Not sure how Hammott (the author) does this as have not really experienced that with other books I have read, but I found myself routing for them and one of them was a baddy.
The story is very interesting, exciting and at times thrilling. I liked the way new information was revealed about the lost Fawcet expedition that then leads to a modern day quest to the Amazon Jungle to try and find the Lost City of Z.

I like that you can buy a cheap sample teaser of this book before purchasing the full book when it is published, and the cost is deducted from the full book price so it ends up costing you nothing for the sample edition. I wish I could have done this with some of the other books I have bought instead of wasting my money.

I am looking forward very much to reading the full novel as I need to know what happens next.
If you like a great adventure story with engaging characters and an exciting plot, then this is the book for you.

I am just about to order Ben Hammott's Beginnings: Beginnings: A Hunt for Treasure (The Tomb, the Temple, the Treasure)) novel that he published before this book. the reviews are all 5 stars so it seems like it will be another good read. My boyfriend and I will have to fight who will read it first when it arrives. He is so going to lose :-)
