5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Excellent!, 2 Jan 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Amazing Spider-Man Volume 1: Coming Home TPB: Coming Home v. 1 (Paperback)
This storyline features Peter Parker (a.k.a. Spider-Man) having the greatest fight of his life with a villain called Morlun, who tests the very limit of his power. This also shows Peter moving on to the next phase in his life as a Science Teacher in the very high school in which he had studied.

This issue has great characterization and the plot steadily builds up to an amazing finale.

The ending, oh yeah, it will leave you reeling!

All I can say is definitely buy this. This is Spider-Man at his best!

A good Spider-Man story that followed Marvels attempt to revitalize there main characters.
A great villian is introduced and a new Arc is created. The writing is good but i'm not to big a fan of JMS based on this. But when i first read it i enjoyed it. The next couple of books in this run are great as well you should purchase them. On the whole a well written book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, 23 May 2007

The title is The AMAZING spider-man and thats exactly what this story is AMAZING. I read this book the day it arrived I would not move from the sofa until I finished what I had started. The plot is unexpectable just when you think spider-man had it tough and couldn't have it any tougher somehow a mystery villian sees to it that spiderman meets a challenge. I am a huge fan of manga and storied with a bit of a gothic side to them however it's nice to pick up a colour full graphic novel like this one from time to time.

The story is very dark and sad at times however it does contain great art work and humour this is a must for spiderman fans and fans of graphic novels.

The ending will shock you I can promise you that.
