'Fasting' however, is not as scary as it sounds! It involves consuming 500 calories per day, and this book provides you with a wealth of delicious recipes that all look and taste far better than you would imagine for such low calorie offerings.
The book itself is very well written and lavishly illustrated. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who is tired of the more traditional diets, whereby deprivation is the order of the day.
There's lots of recipes to choose from and you can't beat the price either. This one's definitely a keeper!
I must say a brilliant cook book with mouth-watering dishes that are so quick and so simple to make for my wife and myself to help us with our dieting. The recipes I've made so far have been delicious (especially the Tomato Stuffing Surprise for breakfast!) and easy to follow and accompanied with colored pictures. I would highly recommend this book to anyone wishing to lose weight as all the rules and guidelines of 5:2 fasting and dieting are explained fully at the beginning of the book and the recipes are nicely categorized by calories.
Overall a brilliant cook book with good clear instructions and plenty of meal suggestion and ideas!
If you're doing the 5:2, I highly recommend using this cookbook - the recipes are delicious and easy, and actually makes this diet doable! Very pleased I found it, thank you!
The theory is rock-solid and delivered in a way that makes dieting, or just eating sensibly, a positive life choice and not a chore. The 'be kind to yourself' approach is a welcome change.
The recipes are amazing- working well as a reference for some easy meals for days when time is short or as an invaluable aid to cutting the calories. All are listed with cooking times and calorie information- saving you the trouble of working it out.
Showcasing variety of low calorie for meals for breakfast, dinner and evening meals- it enables you to try out lots of different types of cuisine. Dieting will never be boring again!
