This book is a real gem. The text is clearly written and engaging and the photographs are wonderful. It would make a great gift for anyone who likes to travel or who enjoys the quirky or the unexpected.
The author has included not just a glorious selection of interesting, unique places to stay, but also ideas for amazing experiences to have nearby.

It's about fancy hotels which I can dream I'll go to but in reality know that I'll never even see in real life. I've flicked through the pages but not spent more than 5 mins with it.

A different type of book providing a welcome change to the usual travel format. Excellent idea in choosing 'unusual' hotels/B&Bs - let down by the odd mainstream listing. Nice to see web links and local attractions. Great conversation piece for the coffee table. As usual, outstanding DK photography.
