As part of an on-going study into Behavioural Science, I purchased this book to add to the numerous texts that I own. To be honest, I was disappointed.

Althought the general format of the book is wonderful, the content leaves a lot to be desired. I found it to be (for the most part) inaccurate guesswork. It illustrates different aspects of facial features and what they would mean. Most of these you could likely guess - dark rings under the eyes or eye-puffs would suggest to me that someone was tired or down. I tried practical tests on people I knew to see if the content was accurate, but I would say a fair 60% was not.

Summing up... spend your money on other ways to read people. There are much better books on the market than this. If on the other hand, you want to see nicely drawn sketches then this is the book for you!

It's quite unbelievable that people still write this rubbish and that others are gullible enough to believe. Hell, I should know, I was gullible enough to buy it!

I bought this book thinking it would be about reading people's expressions and attempts to hide their emotions etc - i.e. a scientific study of facial expression . Sadly, this book starts from the premise that certain facial attributes are connected with certain personality traits. YOu may have heard expressions like "I don't trust that man, his eyes are too close together" - well this book is basically an encylopedia of such prejudiced nonsense.

Big forehead = clever
"Cruel" mouth = nasty person

And so on.

This book is an illustrative guide to some of the traits that our features reveal about ourselves, if you have an open mind and believe that this is possible then this book will help you in identifying features and what they mean. It is not about body language as some of the negative reviewers were expecting purely face reading and for that reason I gave it 5 stars for the good clear illustrations. Note if your nose and eyes slant downwards then that means you take everything with a huge pinch of salt and won't believe in the power of this book. If on the otherhand your eyes slant upwards then you will be more of an optomist and might buy this book...I am also a pick up artist and the subject matter in this book has helped me demonstrate higher value.
