An aeroplane's amazing, for it travels through the sky, above the clouds, for miles and miles, so very fast and high! Jet above the clouds in this picture book with playful art, a kooky animal crew and a brilliant picture dictionary. The story CD lets children follow along with the jolly rhyming text, with music and fun sound effects to accompany the reading. It's the perfect way to learn about aeroplanes -- at bedtime, on car journeys, or anytime at all!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for airports and reading on the plane 10 July 2002
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This is one of my toddler's favourite books. We flew recently and my 2 year old loved looking at the pictures and comparing it what was happening on our journey. It introduces toddlers to all the stages in flying, from checking in at the airport, to baggage handling, taking off and landing. There's even a pictoral glossary of aeroplane words at the back! We have the whole series of 'Amazing Machines' - they are all great!

Format:Paperback
Good little book for preparing toddler for their first flight. Describes checking in etc as well as the actual flight and waiting for luggage etc. Good images. Book is small enough to be handy to stick in your onflight bag.

2.0 out of 5 stars weird stains?! 5 Sep 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
the book in general is in quite good condition, sadly though it came with some bad stains all over the cover....I was lucky that they wiped off but I still don't think it's acceptable that it was shipped in that condition - it was impossible to miss the marks on the front cover especially! it looked like someone had spilled their tea/coffee on it!!!!
