Product Description

Product Description

Jet-packs, Dragons, Barbarians, Dinosaurs, Magic, Space-Ships, Chainsaws and Beards. This epic tale of hilarity, emotion and adventure is the true story of Grigor: The Destructionator!

The five pieces of awesome are objects scattered around the universe that grant the wielder near ultimate power. If the Evil Lord gets them first then the Universe will be thrust into a nightmareish hell, if Grigor gets them first, there's a slim chance he can save everyone. But the pieces already have owners, will Grigor and his rag tag group of comrades (including an immortal legendary pirate and a man with chainsaws for arms) get the pieces first and save the world? Or will the Evil Lord plunge the universe into indomitable darkness forever?

Before Grigor even realises that he's on an amazing adventure he has to face his day job as a Viking Bank Financier. This has it's own challenges, like Evil Zombie Ninjas and even worse, a visit from the Aduit Team.

A hilariously ironic slant on the space opera and fantasy epic style. Un-like anything you will ever read.

4.0 out of 5 stars A brave, brave novel. 16 Mar 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
For a debut novel, you have to give this kudos for originality. Think of this as a man's vanity project, written to try something different. And to be fair, he pulls it off. At times it does get a bit of a tough read due to its longevity (hence the 4 stars), however, you have to appreciate it for an obscure, occasionally laugh out loud novel from someone who doesn't consider themselves a writer at all. Add this to your kindle collection, not just for the good read, but to show recognition for someone who wrote something, for fun. not for money, not for international fame, just for themselves and anyone who wants to read it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Hilarious Little Book 18 Mar 2012
By Bradley
Format:Kindle Edition
Ok, wasn't too sure about this when I picked it up, but at 79p I figured I'd give it a go. But my apprehensions were un-founded, it's a brilliant humour novel and made me laugh out loud a lot. It takes such a funny spin on the fantasy and sci-fi genres (I'm a fan of both) poking fun of all the cliches but still being a good read. I loved Grigor's over the topness and Chainsaw-Boy's awkward jokes. The story leaves a little bit to be desired, but the book's main strength is in the humour, also there's a few bits that could be tightened up, but it's not officially published so we can let it off a few bits there. Saying that though, it really should be published!

It's a real gem in the big pile of these low-priced self published novels and I reckon this author will become something big someday.
