Product Description

This is a text in Spanish. Peace can only be achieved in the world if it is first achieved by individuals in their daily lives. People are constantly looking for peace, even - sometimes especially - when they fight, but they often lack the tools and the knowledge to find it. The tips in this guide provide a first step for those who are looking for a better, calmer way to live. Each exercise is an opportunity to practice peace, and each accompanying quote is a thought-provoking suggestion about the nature of peace. Together they provide concrete tools for use every day, even in the midst of challenging situations.

There is nothing wrong with this book. There is a lot of material to help one work thru one's disposition toward accommodating others and seeking peace by non-interference. There is nothing in it about how to solve a problem or to stop or overcome a conflict that is important --where just going to the back of the bus is not a possibility. I guess i have a little problem with the thesis: the world will be at peace when you can ignore all the hard parts. It is true that it helps to have inner peace when trying to bring peace to others. But the ability to smile thru everything is not my idea of the solution. I'm too much of a Gandhian - conflict is good: " In Conflict there is Truth -- only in Conflict can we find Truth." M.K. Gandhi. I think he would know.
