Amy Grossberg and Brian Peterson grew up in a wealthy New Jersey suburb, meeting and falling in love while still in high school, then set out for college with their classmates. But in November of their Freshman Year, the two young lovers spent a night in a Delaware motel room where, after hiding her pregnancy from her family and her friends for nine months, Amy gave birth to a baby boy. Only she and Brian knew the child even existed . . . until the next morning when the newborn's corpse turned up in the motel dumpster. The case caused a countrywide outrage, and the teenagers ended up in court, desperately fighting for their lives and ultimately against each other...

5.0 out of 5 stars A true story that is almost unbelievable 26 July 2005
By Kirsty
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I didn't know anything about this case before I read this book and I have to say it was very well written. I know that Doug Most wrote the book by making educated guesses as to what actually happened by piecing together all the evidence that he could.

As I read this book I became more and more angrier. I can not believe that these two people could be so heartless as to get rid of their son in such a cruel way. They both deserved to be punished more severely for their crime.

5.0 out of 5 stars Riveting! 21 Feb 2001
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Im a true crime fanatic and this well written account of Amy and Brian's tragic story gripped me from the start. This account of the murder of a baby is unique in that it evoked sympathy and compassion for the "criminals" i so hoped they would be forgiven rather than punished. Overall an excelent read and something a little different for true crime fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars Alway's In Our Heart's. 3 Nov 2005
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Another fantastic book. Two teenagers having a baby without anyone knowing. Then murdering the poor baby & throwing it away in the rubish bin like a piece of paper.Even though they were school age this shouldn't have happened. This is a must read. I just cannot get my head around anyone who will kill a child or a baby come to that.
