More About the Author

Writing is my passion. It hasn't always been. I began writing in high school mostly just for fun. I never once took it seriously or had aspirations of becoming a published writer.

I began writing Forever Mine in the 10th grade. I'd forgotten all about it until many MANY years later after moving into a new home, I began to unpack a box that had been sitting in my old houses garage closet. After unpacking old year books and school photos I'd long ago thought were lost forever. I came across an envelope with about seven chapters worth of Forever Mine. I became engrossed in the romance I'd forgotten all about. When I got to the last page I'd written I was so dissapointed because I REALLY wanted to know what happend next.

I decided to finish it. It has been one of the most pleasurable experiences of my life. I felt like I was living their story and enjoyed every minute. When I was finally done I cried. I missed my characters so much I decided there would be more. After much tweaking and editing I wanted the world to read Forever Mine, so I self published. Now I'm hooked on writing.

The experience continues as I work on Always Been Mine the second in the series of The Moreno Brothers. I'm on a roller coaster again and loving every minute. I hope to have it out by early 2011, then I can get started on the the 3rd which the title has yet to come to me. I will, and when it does. I will update my bio. =)

Well I've now read all the books in this series and at 48 years old I'm a bit past the typically described teen readers age. I loved all the stories in this series of Angel, Alex, Sal, Sofie and Romero. Once I had read the first book and found it was a series I read them all. Make sure you read them in the correct order or you may spoil the story in another before you have read it. I loved how all the characters had such intense relationships and in a way I think it took me back to my younger years when I would have chopped off my right arm to have such an intense passionate relationship as described in these books. My body may be 48 but in my head I'm 20!

Alex is one of the Moreno brothers, like the the others he's incredibly handsome, he is also the biggest physically, tall and muscular. Alex and Valerie had been together at college, he had been a football player and really popular with all the girls. But he seemed to only had eyes for Valerie. That is until he messed up. Valerie told him she never wanted to see him again. That was a year ago. But now with a wedding coming up he knows he will see her again as she is the brides cousin. Alex had never been able to quite get Valerie out of his mind. The first time they meet he goes all out and as soon as he gets her alone he kisses her, but Valerie is not doing this with him again and lets him know that.
This is a good story, that draws the reader in from the first page. Valerie had been really hurt by Alex, and did not want to go through that again. But Alex is determined to get her back no matter what. Regardless of whoever else might be interested in her. Between Alex and her manager Luke, Valerie has a job to keep a clear head, so she doesn't need another problem a stalker.
Once again the author gives us a great male lead in Alex he is really protective and a bit bossy, he would like to wrap Valerie up in cotton wool, but she's having none of it. Valerie having been hurt is wary of Alex, it does not help that every time she looks at him her heart melts. But she has an independent streak a mile wide, and refuses to hide away from the danger she now finds herself in.
This is a enjoyable read, a second for me by this author. I was prompted to try this after reading and totally loving Noah (5th Street). I cannot in all honesty say that "Always Been Mine" is as good as Noah, but it is still a solid three star story for me.

Another fabulous book from the series. Always Been Mine is most definitely more intense than the first and follows the turbulent romance of Alex Moreno and Valerie Zuniga. Both Valerie and Alex are dominant characters who like to be in control. They are crazy about each other and have an undeniable chemistry, but sometimes pride has a way of ruining things.

Once again the book is written from both characters perspective however the best aspect of this book is that all the characters from the first book (Sarah, Angel, Eric, Sofia, Romero) are featured and we got a taste of where they now are in their own lives.

I was so gripped by the book it was devoured in less than 24 hours. I seriously could not put it down.

I was able to get straight into the book and found it was hard to put it down. I have already read two of the Moreno Brothers books and both were hard to put down.

I loved this book. I have all of the Moreno Brothers series and this one is my favourite. From Alex's ripped body to his caveman type attitude towards his sister and girlfriend - Alex is my favourite of brothers.
Although this range of books is aimed at older teens, I think they are well worth a read.

If you enjoyed FOREVER MINE by Elizabeth Reyes, UNLOVEABLE by Sherry Gammon or GOING UNDER by Georgia Gates then you'll probably like this. It's a little racier than Forever Mine because there's a real element of danger. Alex is a great book boyfriend. He's not perfect but he's a good guy and he would make any girl feel safe. Val is great. Their relationship is believeable even if they're a tad dramatic at times. I like that you're constantly reminded of other characters from the other books. It's not just Alex and Val's story. We're reminded of Angel and Sarah's story and get glimpses of stories to come. You get to see another side of Romero but Luke is an odd character. He's the only one I'm not convinced about. It's not a deal-breaker though. This was a fun read.
