I've used this for a while now connected to my iPod Touch remote dock, and they sound just fine. I'm no connoisseur in hi-def sound systems, but this system more than meets my needs. The remote is excellent and gives you full control; I've never had to touch the main controls. The bass is excellent. It also has an sfx mode which sounds quite good in my opinion.
The sub-woofer is a tad large but is excellent at what it does. The speakers do their job.
I can't tell you how it stacks up against similar systems as I haven't used any other, but I'm sure you won't be disappointed with this system.
