We tried to buy this for our 3 year old in December but were too slow and it quickly sold out; we have been checking to see if it was back in stock ever since. This is an excellent toy, smaller than you might think, but this makes it more portable and once the runway is laid out it is big enough to keep an imaginative 3 1/2 year old happy for a surprisingly long time. My one concern is the pieces of runway connect using plastic type connectors and there are no spares so if one is lost a piece won't connect. I don't think the set would take rough use i.e by a slightly younger child. Expensive yes but a lovely product.
