New road surveys are combined with Charles Davis' research for "34 Alpujarras Walks" to ensure that this 1:40,000 scale topographical map is fully up-to-date at publication. All the walking routes and pistas featured in Charles' book are clearly highlighted on the map along with most of the GPS Waypoints from 34 Alpujarras Walks. Reverse of the map contains the full GPS Waypoint lists for 34 Alpujarras Walks along with information about the region and photos featuring the beautiful landscapes of the region. Printed on the same material, and using the same special inks, as Indestructible Maps to produce a Super-Durable map that will survive extreme conditions and give years of outdoor use. These materials and techniques cost more than common paper maps but produce an excellent value map.

This map was arevelation on our first trip to the Alpujarras. It has a beautiful feel, like silk, and really is waterproof as it proved when it protected us in a sudden downpoor while the rest of our group got soaked.
The map is beautifully clear and accurate, far more accurate than our supposedly professional guide. Loads of walking routes, from the 34 Alpujarras Walks guide book, are highlighted along with GPS Waypoints for thos routes; very useful for some of the mountain routes like Cabello.
At the end of a weeks continuous hiking the map was still like new despite its soaking and frequent folding. Why aren't all maps made of this amazing material.

Beautifully presented and lovely quality.
If you know the area this map is brilliant but if you are new to the area this map is a little confusing.
It is a great 'walkers' map but not for the ordinary tourist hoping to explore.
