Done the video showing what you get, in the video I voiced my concern of how light it was. My concern was justified with initial power up on a new build. Does not provide 650watt and the power(Amps) associated with that, or anything close to that over a sustained period. I used it for the initial turn on and install of windows 7. The system was very unstable, flashing screen, slow processor speed etc.... Was a new build so could have been any number of things. Finally tracked it down to the PSU. When I replaced it with a more upmarket model and lower wattage actually, then everything worked as it should. The total power of the system I built required 460watt on full load, should have been no problem for this PSU. Only suitable for an older computer I think, single core processor.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't expect to run a half-decent system 17 Dec 2011
This power supply died after 2 weeks, my computer would randomly die and retart itself again. Eventually the PSU gave up alltogether. I am not using a very high end system, with an Intel core i3, and a nVidia GT430 ( a graphics card that dosnt require a PCI-E power plug). This PSU is badly made and rated for an wattage that it cannot handle. Save your money, buy a good quility PSU from a good brand like CoolerMaster, Corsair, XFX ect.

1.0 out of 5 stars This let me down!!! 28 Mar 2012

I am compelled to write this review to warn other buyers of this awful product.
After I decided to put together my first computer and went on studying extensively how it should be done, I started buying all items needed and tried hard to make the choices. One of my choice was this power unit. Then after I managed to put every thing together immaculately it was the turn of this unit which would have finalised the making of a lovely computer except that after installing it, I had the terrible shock that the built up computer would not start and I thought I was a failure trying to make a computer.
Luckily enough God guided my thoughts that it could be this power unit, so I went on trying to find out and watched few videos on "You Tube" (which is great in this aspect) and tested accordingly this unit to find that indeed it was DEAD. So I went through Mighty Amazon again to return this and buy a new, and I must praise Amazon for their efficiency and prompt help. Then the new more expensive unit arrived and I did not waist any time in installing it, and to my absolute delight the computer came to life and worked perfectly.
I wish to urge every one being tempted by the low price of this unit not to waist time and efforts and steer away from this product. Hoping that the maker might realise that they need to make a better and more reliable unit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quiet?? My keyboard makes more noise! 12 Aug 2011

OK, so the original unit was DOA ... but supplier soon replaced it.

Finally got around to installing it, and was a little apprehensive as I've used a "quiet" PSU before. But this one, you don't even know it's on!

And cool? Put your hand beside the vent, (mine is 4" from a wall) and all you feel is a draught. No heat at all. And that's powering a i5 processor which is currently running at 29c per core!!

So to say I'm happy with the unit is quite an understatement.

1.0 out of 5 stars Quiet? Silent? Robust? Not this unit 22 Nov 2013

Over the years I have bought many bits for PC's. Most of the time the product in the nice looking box is that - nice.

Not on this occasion. I installed this unit about 5 months ago, it came with lots of power connections and looks good. Installed the unit with ease.

During use I notice the fan seemed to be on all the time at quite a high speed and was noticeable in use. It did not meet the requirement from that point of view but with all the other stuff happening around me it was not overly intrusive.
BUT you could always tell the PC was on.

After several months of use I started to notice a slight rattle coming from the PC so moved a few things, re-plumbed some cabling and that seemed reduce it.

The rattle turned into a "I am a bearing that is about to fail" noise so sent the unit back.
I now have a similar power supply with slightly less Watts and the difference is amazing.
I now hear the noise from the HD drive!

These units do seem to be variable based on the range of comments.

My only recommendation spend the extra cash on a better quality unit.

1.0 out of 5 stars Little to no power for a 650w 23 Sep 2011
By Ronan C
This PSU advertises 650watts with 36amps down the 12v rail.
In this case there are 2 x 12v rails each one "apparently" delivering 18amps each.

Having installed this PSU in my own machine, i soon found that the computer instantly powered off as soon as any stress was put on it ( ie: by starting a game with the video card pulling power ).

Upon further inspection with a voltmeter i found that not only was this so called 650w PSU not delivering the promised 36 amps, but each rail was delivering a staggering 11 amps each.... for a total of 22amps.
This is incredibly weak for a 650w PSU and is the kind of output i would expect from a good 300w supply.

In short, if you require a PSU for any kind of gaming at all, this is NOT the PSU you want and is a waste of money.
A good quality 550w will produce 40+ amps and would be a much better idea.

Got this fan as a replacement for a 500W, and found it great value and very quite once started. I have been using it in my system for about a month and have had no problems.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's good
It's a very decent power system although it isn't very quiet. It is noticeable but it is good for it's price. Also it is actually 700W not 650W which is actually what I need.
