About the Author
Kev Reynolds is a freelance writer, photojournalist and lecturer whose first title for Cicerone Press (Walks and Climbs in the Pyrenees) appeared in 1978, and is still in print. He has published many books on the Alps, a series of trekkers' guides to Nepal and, nearer to home, several guides on walking in southern England. A member of the alpine Club, Austrian Alpine club and the Outdoor Writers Guild, he is also first Honorary Member of the British Association of European Mountain Leaders.

Nice Mountain Photography Book

100 photos in a 200 page book with the photos on the right and text on the left page. The photos are mainly taken from high altitude hiking trails and I find them quite inspirational and often say to myself "wow" I wish I could be there !!
It is a smallish and nicely presented book that hikers or nature lovers wanting a taste of fascinating hiking country, will enjoy. Recommended.

I am a little bit disappointed by this book.
I was expecting "typical", "canonical" views from the most famous places in Alps - as a stimulus for me to see them myself in future.
Instead, I have received collection of beautiful, however completly unrecognized pictures from totally unknown places. Perhaps that was an idea of the author.
But for me, it was disappointing.
