Great 5 Dec 2010
Purchased these because I was off to a couple of concerts and didn't want my ears ringing for days afterwards. Had tried normal earplugs in the past but they just distorted the sound. These were great because I could hear everything clearly an it didn't detract from the atmosphere of the concert. Hearing was fine afterwards too.

I am in a band and often have ringing ears after a rehearsal, i was getting concerned this may lead to long term effects as the ringing began to last for longer after each rehearsal. This product works very well and is also very comfortable

I have tried the rest. These are the BEST 9 May 2011
By EJ - Published on Amazon.com
as the title says, I have tried just about every type of earplug out there. I am a professional musician and a person with sensitive ears and hearing loss. I need to hearing protection, not just when I sit next to a drumset, timpani, or trumpet, but also when I ride the subway or go to the movies. I even wear them in a lecture hall environment, if the mic is too loud. I have tried them all including the 'musician earplugs' (triple flange, foam, professional molded, plastic, silicone, heat-based, etc)

I choose these because they are, compared to the other earplugs they are:
1. comfortable
2. easy to use
3. cheap enough to lose
4. adjustable-multiple filters, which is nice, depending on the app, I can go hi/low attenuation
5. superior in sound to all the others I have tried.

The bottom line is that I prefer these in every aspect to the other stuff on the market. I recommend them highly.

Buying my second pair now 6 May 2011

These are great ear plugs, especially if you find Etymotic's products too stiff/large for your ears. I have tried both the regular and child sized Etymotic musician's plugs and neither worked well for me. These, while technically having two flanges that are larger than the Etymotic, are made from a slightly softer material that collapses inward and is much more comfortable for me, whether it is for two minutes or two hours.

These have really great attenuation, and make playing my drums much more fulfilling. I can tell how hard the crash is hitting, and just how rough the China is because I can actually hear all the high notes that foam plugs drown out. I have also used these at several concerts, and as most people who have ever used good earplugs at concerts know, the music sounds so much better than with foamies OR with nothing at all. (Standing 30 feet from John Paul Jones while Josh Homme and Dave Grohl were wailing at Them Crooked Vultures sounded amazing!!!!)

I have had these plugs for about two years, and they were just starting to get kind of icky (you can only clean these things of ear wax so many times) when my dog decided to eat one, so I am buying another pack to have on hand. I know they are a bit more than some other options, but if you have smaller ear canals, or find the pressure of the stiffer Etymotic stuff painful, give these a try!

can't go wrong with these 3 July 2011

I use these for concerts and clubs. I have tried several earplugs as well like the Etymotic Research ER20 High-Fidelity Earplugs (White with Clear Stem)(wich are excellent too), Hearos Rock 'n Roll Series, Ear Plugs, 1-Pair Foam (Pack of 3) (not that good because they are too small for me and atennuate too much sound), and foam plugs as well, but these are the best for me.

These ear plugs are extremely comfortable, even for small ear canals. I have a big ear canals, and these fit perfectly. My girlfriend has very small ear canals and with a simple adjusment (instructions inside), these plugs will fit perfectly.

Pros:
-Good Price
-Really easy to use (and remove)
-Extremeley comfortable. You forget you are wearing them. These are way more confotable than the Etys because of the material and because they don't need to go very deep into the ear canal.
-Great attenuation of the noise, without losing quality (others tend to mute the mid and higher notes too much)
-Interchangeable filters, wich is great because you can choose acording to your needs. I use mostly the silver filter for concerts, and the gold for really noisy clubs and other concerts.
-Music filters are an open system. This does make the difference in confort and attenuation.

Cons:
-Let me know...

EDIT:
Try not to loose the insertion tool. It's hard to get good fit without it.
