These earplugs are epuipped with a special filter which allows for certain sound frequency but limits others.
As a result it removes the nuisances of traffic noise, snoring sounds, neighbour and other ambient noise whilst at the same time allowing high frequency sounds like for example a crying baby, the door bell or an alarm clock buzzer remain sufficiently audible.
The Alpine range of hearing protection products are produced from a very soft flexible and durable thermoplastic material.
Thanks to the bodyheat the earplug adapts to the shap of the auditory duct. For this reason these products are very comfortable to wear.
All products are supplied in a very stylish and steady case. In order to easily place the earplugs, a small insertion tube is enclosed.

Blocks out most of the noise, enough so that u can sleep anyways, such as downstairs television or street sounds. fairly comfortable, the bit that sticks out is elastic at the core of the bud so that when you lie on your side it can bend inwards meaning you hardly feel them when sleeping, has a nice tight vacuum fit so it stays in throughout the night, only had it fall out a few times. iv tried many earbuds and this is by far out performs them all in terms of noise reduction and comfort, it is not foam based, which is good cos i never got on well with the foams. overall well worth the money as it is reusable. it will wear and tear over time however this is my 2nd purchase the 1st set are now unusable after 1 years use.
UPDATE 31st August 2011: PRODUCT HAS CHANGED SLIGHTLY.
So my previous pair are now worn out, torn and unusable, i bought some more and a couple of things have changed.
1) The PACKAGING, the little store away box it now comes in is much improved, making taking out / putting away the ear plug alot quicker and easier.
2) The EAR PLUGS ARE MUCH SMALLER. At first when i saw them i though ohh nooo...however this is much better, the buds now fit deeper and tighter in the ear canal givng a good seal fit, the tube part which hold the noise cancelling stuff is shorter in lentgh so it doesnt stick out the ear, they never fall out anymore. However because of the tighter deeper fit they can be uncormtable slighlty after so many hours and is quite a relief to take them out in the morning, however i can live with this as the core purpose of cancelling noise is beter than ever.
3) The PRICE, has come down making this even more value...buy them now for a good nights sleep.

I've read several reviews of earplugs and found many people expect far too much of a very cheap product. These earplugs really are value for money. I use them for sleeping and for general use as where I live has a noisy business operating next to it. As can be expected of something which isn't tailored made, some noise CAN still be heard but all i can say is my sleep is now no longer interrupted and I can feel more relaxed where noise would normally be bothering me. I would definitely recommend these.

at least for me. my partners snoring is now a very distant sound.
they are not as intense as some other earplugs and you don't feel completely cut off from the world. if anything they are a bit too good and you don't hear your alarm in the morning. but i don't really want to hear the alarm anyway ;)

Excellent for light sleepers
