Although this was not the follow up to 'Lexicon of Love' (the most perfect album of all time?), it effectively picks up where the debut left off. The album is chock full of amazing compositions including the deliriously gorgeous 'When Smokey Songs'. The album is smooth, slick and classy. It is an absolute gem that has stood the test of time and deserves to be revisited.

An absolute gem of an album. Not a weak track on the album, Martin Fry's ability to conjure up a sense of glamour, coupled with great storytelling means the intervening years have not dated this album.

I had forgteen just how clever and wonderful this album is. It sparked happy late 80's memories. Strings and pure vocals blend. True genius!
