5.0 out of 5 stars Reading it together just my baby and me 13 Aug 2008
I have been reading this to my 2 year old. He loves the repetition and joins in with me. He also shouts out the name of the animals and makes the appropriate noises. Yesterday morning we found ourselves reciting it on the way to nursery.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best bedtime book 22 Dec 2013
Love this book so much. Had to buy a replacement when old one got ruined. Wonderful verses, great pictures and allows children to join in once they become familiar with the story. A favourite bedtime book for both the children and me! I never tire of reading this one!

5.0 out of 5 stars lovely book, for all times of day! 1 Feb 2012
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
This is an excellent book. It's a lovely story, and enough places where our nearly-two-year-old can join in (one, two, three and he says the "go"!, and identifying all the animals and then doing their noises etc etc) to keep him totally engrossed. All in all a beautiful book, and definitely not just for bedtime.

i don't often review books and i don't think i've ever reviewed a childs book. but i got this for my son (who has just turned 2) from the library and he loves it.. so much so that i've had to buy him he's own copy.
my son vocal skills aren't the best but he loves shouting along with this and points out the sounds the animals make before i say anything. def impressed with it
