Not bad but not great. I preferred Keene's older work like Dead See, Urban Gothic, The Rising and The Conqueror Worms. This, while being an okay story is much slower paced but it's still well written. If you're a big fan of Keene like I am I'm sure you'll read it anyway. If you're going to try him for the first time there are better books by him out there.

Keene states this is an early work and it does show.The ending is obvious and I had worked it out within the first page.Saying that we all have to start somewhere and for an early work it is well written and imaginative.I do recommend checking it out

I have been a huge fan of Brian's since first finding a used copy of The Rising in a local book store. This was another great story written by one of today's best!
A man wakes up and discovers that he is all alone. What happened to his family and neighbors? What is the mysterious fog that surrounds the neighborhood? You will have to give this a read to find the answer to those questions.
Highly recommend this title!!

I have become a big fan of Brian Keene after picking up a used copy of The Castaways. For me he is right up top as A horror writer. Enjoyed this one, but sorry Brian, it was easy to guess where Dan was. Keep writing!
