This is the second in the ORIGINAL trilogy of Alone In The Dark games (possibly the only one available on Playstation 1?). This is also currently the only way to legally obtain AITD 2, so if you're looking for some old-school 3D adventuring with some dashes of action, this is recommended. Much derided for its reliance on combat over puzzles, AITD 2 is still a superb entry in the series, famous (or infamous) for its opening few screens: the intense combat in a hedge maze.

This game is a must for all you Alone in the Dark fans out there. Like all the others in the series, its not the usual "shoot-em" game. Instead, it does require some thinking. Unlike games such as Tomb Raider, there is no auto-aim - a disadvantage to most. Expect to carry large amounts of unusual items around with you, most of which are purely for comical purposes.
