These lock sack zippable/reclosable bags are a little bit expensive but good to have because they are thick and heavier duty than regular bags, and the holes in the outer edge allow the smaller sizes to be inserted into medical kits and ringbinders.These bags saved some of my documents and a map from getting destroyed by a leak in my water reservoir inside my backpack. Thankfully my clothes and sleeping gear were also in plastice bin bags so it was not a problem. I wish they made these in some larger sizes for small items of clothing and bulkier items but you cannot have it all, I guess. Fortunately I still have a couple of larger ones from my days in the US navy. They were used to protect documents and electronic circutboards during storage and transit where water or contaminants might cause damage....so believe me they work and are useful. There are also really good bags made by Ziploc in the USA that have heavy duty thickness and double zip-seals for food. I know people who use them in the medical field there for packing perishable items in ice.Unfortunately they are not sold in the UK yet.4 out of 5 stars for usefulness and reliability but larger sizes and better prices are needed in future.

Excellent little bags. They seem effective against a lot of water spray. Haven't submerged them yet, but then I'm not a US Navy Seal. They could happily lose the script on one side: might be good advertising, but it is foolish on something that you are supposed to be able to read through, including double-sided documents.
Amazon Verified Purchase
The image and the ideas from previous reviews of this product imply it is suitable as a map case and is a really decent product. Although I havent actually used this yet so can't comment on its waterproofing abilities, the biggest one won't even fit a Kindle in properly, let alone a map. The sealing mechanism is basically the same as a ziplock bag, and you can find cheaper heavy duty ziplock bags on amazon, ie those by webtex. Delivery was OK, and as always heavily (to the point of overkill) packaged by amazon.

Disappointed
I have to be honest, I was disappointed with these. I thought they were expensive for what they were when you can buy plastic zip bags for a fraction of the price.

Excellent service
