I enjoyed this story. The premise of swapping houses for a month with your friend that lives across the nation was a fun storyline. Danica and Ashlyn have been close friends for years but have not physically seen each other in over 10 years; they chat through Skype. After talking on the phone about their lives one day, Ashlyn proposes a break from their day-to-day lives by taking an extended vacation. Danica would come to Hawaii for a month and stay at her ocean view home. In exchange Ashlyn would stay in Dancia's Chicago loft for a month. The story develops from there with Danica and Boyd being the main characters and Hawaii the main setting.
Danica meets Boyd, Ashlands brother once she lands on the island. She has heard about him through the years but had never met him. Boyd has a quiet confidence that makes him a sexy alpha male while being reserved about his looks and status on life. Boyd does not trust Danica's motives regarding coming to Hawaii. Danica had the task of winning Boyd over without knowing she had a battle to fight. I loved these two together. What engaged me the most was how honest they were with each other; they were always in sync (if not too perfect at times).
On the other side of the ocean Danica asked her friend Hunter to take Ashlyn out while she was in Chicago and show her a good time. Sparks began to fly for the two of them as well. I wish there was just a bit more regarding the budding relationship between Ashlyn and Hunter. While we knew they were falling in love there were not as many details about their love developing.
This was a sensual romance with enough depth and characterization that I felt compelled to finish the book in one sitting. This book was filled with smart dialogue, strong emotion from the men and enough hot chemistry to remind you this is a really good romance.
