Anyone who has allergies should read this book!! The way that the book is organized makes it a very easy read. The book has great recipes and with the spiral binding you can lay it out as you prepare the diverse meals.

5.0 out of 5 stars livesaver 24 Dec 2012

I had a systemic candida overgrowth for most of my life (I am 24) following a lot of antibiotics and a case of giardia in childhood. I had developed many full body symptoms and multiple food allergies.

I strictly followed the diet, protocol, rotation, and recipes in this book for 7 consecutive months. My health improved drastically and the food allergies I had disappeared. When I started this diet I had 30 + food sensitivities and now I can eat any good quality food with no symptoms.

I had lots of prior knowledge about yeast protocol, but the rotation schedule and food families list is what made this book so invaluable to me. I could not have created the rotation schedule myself, as the food families are very complicated. On this program, you cannot eat a food within the same food family for three days without possibly setting off an immune reaction... and who would have thought that cinnamon and avocado were related. Or cashew and mango?

Food rotation is very challenging at first until you get the hang of it. This book organized it for me and made it much easier. The program is a lot of work but it is worth it - it took a load of my immune system from being over sensitized to the same foods / food families - and helped me introduce dozens of foods back into my diet. I got my life and my health back.

This book was all that I was told it would be. It came quickly and in good condition as promised. It has lots of great recipes. I highly recommend it if you need to do a candida diet or it also is beneficial for losing weight.

This book has great info and helpful recipes. Some of the foods she uses I wouldn't eat because I have heard elsewhere that they aren't good for you. Other then that, excellent book!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good start for your plan 27 Jan 2013

Lots of ideas and recipes, but with many food allergies, you have to pick and choose among recipes. The symbols S2, S2L, and so forth, are useful to guide your choice of recipes for the stages (L reminds you to use limited amounts of a food). Helpful, but I would love to see the book as an online resource to print just the recipes you need, and put them into your own looseleaf binder (recipe list for day one, day two, etc, and then the recipes for that day included in that section). A printout could be put on the front of the fridge as a reminder. I guess you could take the book apart and tear out what you need and organize it into a looseleaf yourself. Excellent information, but I found using the information for the actual rotation plan a bit difficult and cumbersome.

Maybe the authors will put out a 4th edition in a more customizable format to answer the question "what can I eat?"
