Outstanding Offense 22 Jan 2000
By Dan Bare - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This book contained ten different offensive continuities. Some are geared for the high school and college levels and some are very simple and easy to install. Ch.1, The Passing Game Plus Mixer Motion is quite basic, widely used, and can be implemented on all levels of basketball. I found the Offside Stack Shuffle (Ch. 3) to be very simple but effective. My eighth graders learned it in about 30 min. and it was very effective for us all season long. If this book seems too complicated, perhaps you should switch hobbies!

VERY DISAPPOINTED 29 Nov 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This book has little more than cryptic diagrams of offensive schemes - perhaps of use to a college or experienced high school coach looking to dive in deeper but of little use to the average youth coach. I am an experienced player and youth coach of many seasons and have a good repetoire of drills to help players improve individually but so far am stuck with offenses I've dreamed up myself or tailored from my playing days. Most of the videos & books (Basketball Coach's Bible, John Wooden & Coach K's videos) do a great job on skills & drills but are weak on offenses. This book had the "promise" of filling the gap but didn't deliver.
