Having seen this slated in various publications, I'm amazed. This album is genius from beginning to end, with innovative and unusual string arrangements from Mink, supremely ironic lyrics and perfect production.
As an album it works beautifully, particularly in revisiting itself - just listen to the strains of 'Sexuality' coming through on the apparently 'upbeat and innocent' 'World of Love'. You won't hear that in her concert performances...
Lang may be happy now, but she wasn't in this one. Go get it.

The only real critcism of this album is its short length... barely 34 mins. But that gives it a neat and tidy quality that suits the album well. All You Can Eat is the second in three autobiographical albums (Inguene being before, Invincible Summer after). Like Inguene some surprisingly cutting and sad lyrics mix with up beat pop. This album is more stripped down than Inguene however and makes you feel closer to KD Lang, and is far more upbeat, with a whiff of resolve and optomism creeping in, making way for the happy go lucky Invincible Summer several years later. All ten tracks are polished and memorable and there are some fantastic moments... the wry If I were you, the indecisive Maybe, the joyous Sexuality. Favourite track has to be the last number 'I want it all' a track devoted to emotional glutony and greed. A very rewarding listen that is lighter and more elegant than Inguene and demonstrates the voice and talent of one of the most accomplished singers/song writers around. Go gorge yourself.

I decided to give this cd another listen after playing kd,s Invincible Summer for the past few months.Iis like rediscovering a classic:there are some beautiful songs on this album "infinate and unforeseen" and "this" being the 2 standout tracks for me."All you can eat" leans more towards a pop album than kd,s other works and whilst her voice lends itself to the ballads rather than the upbeat numbers its still a very entertaining mix.Worth another listen !

I absolutely love this album! I came across it purely by chance, and after listening to audioclips, and decided to purchase it right away! It's a pity that this album doesn't get more recognition. For me, it is as good as Ingenue, if not better!

My favourite tracks include: "If I Were You"; "Sexuality"; Acquiesce; and "Infinate and Unforeseen"

It may only be 10 tracks long but in this case, less is definately more!!

This album definately features in my top three must own k.d. lang albums - alongside Ingenue and Hymns Of The 49th Parallel. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
