This is a lovely earthy book full of great craft ideas to celebrate different times of the year. My kids go to a mainstream school (not Steiner) but there is something rather lovely about getting together and celebrating the changing of the seasons with them and we try and do an activity from this book every month or so. In this world dominated by TV and video games, this book is like a breath of fresh air! I would also think this would be a great resource for any childminder or nursery.

Overall a very lovely and well written boook with great craft and activity ideas throughout. Major warning though that although it does contain some mention and description of traditional British and European festivals and folklore, the book is based almost exclusively around the Christian church calendar.
We bought this book hoping it would include more on a wider range of festivals - perhaps non-Christian traditional British or some lovely Hindu festivals. That is not made clear in the discription so please be warned if this is what you are after.

this book gives a lot of helpful information about seasons and festivals. it also gives a lot of patterns for making different decorations for the certain season. i find it very helpful. This can also be used for crafting together with children.
