Book Description

13 Oct 2011
This new essay collection of Stephanie Pearl-McPhee's contains hilarious and poignant stories surrounding her favourite topics: knitting, knitters, and what happens when you get those two things anywhere near ordinary people. For the millions of knitters, Stephanie Pearl-McPhee (a.k.a. the Yarn Harlot) shares stories of knitting horrors and triumphs, knitting successes and defeats, but, mostly, stories about the human condition that ring true for everyone-especially if you happen to have a rather large amount of yarn in your house. Funny, unique, and gleeful in her obsession, Pearl-McPhee speaks to knitters of all skill levels in this delightful celebration of craft and creativity.

Stephanie Pearl-McPhee is an excellent knitter, and writes extremely enjoyable books, publishes her patterns and runs a knitting blog. If you are a knitting enthusiast and have never bought any of her books, read her blog or tried her knitting patterns
please have a look. I am sure you too will be captivated. My daughter and I are.

As with her other books, thoroughly enjoyed it. Read it through quickly - now I am going to read it again. Look forward to new books by this same author.

the book reassures the "wool hoarder" that she is not alone. Real laughs and a positive commentary on the addictive nature of knitting. Some tips too.
