I turned 45 last year, & am gutted that it's taken me nigh on 4 decades of obsessing over music to finally discover the amazing vocals of Inga Rumpf. Frumpy's debut, for me, is quintessential prog rock - it's so perfect that it's borderline pastiche! Amazing organ-driven rock, magnificent phased drums & some of the greatest rock vocals I've ever heard, female or otherwise. Opening track "Life Without Pain" is an absolute stunner, & almost worth the £15 this CD cost me on it's own. Fortunately, the rest of the album is almost as good, as are both sides of their debut "Roadriding" 45, which have been included as bonus tracks. Terrific stuff from start to finish!
