Synopsis

Starring Danny Dyer (The Business, Human Traffic, Dead Man Running, City Rats) as gangster Dennis and Martin Freeman (Sherlock Holmes, The Office, The Hobbit). Leaving his flatmate Bob to let in estate agents to view his house may just be the worst mistake of Chris's (Martin Freeman) life. Taking his instructions to 'let everyone in' a little too literally, Bob ends up with quite a full house. When up-coming gangster Dennis (Danny Dyer) and his shady associate turn up, Bob mistakes them for estate agents and - welcoming them into the house - accidentally triggers a hostage situation. Little does Chris realise while he is having the day from hell working for his pretentious, dwarf-fearing TV boss, that four estate agents, two Jehovah's Witnesses and a children's entertainer are being held captive at his house.

Product Description

United Kingdom released, PAL/Region 2 DVD: LANGUAGES: English ( Dolby Digital 5.1 ), English ( Subtitles ), WIDESCREEN (1.78:1), SPECIAL FEATURES: Commentary, Interactive Menu, Scene Access, SYNOPSIS: Martin Freeman, Corey Johnson and Velibor Topic helm the unabashedly rude, gross-out crime comedy The All Together. As the story opens, successful television producer Chris Ashworth (Freeman) leaves his home to head off to work, and puts his boarder, the Bosnian immigrant Bob (Topic), in charge of showing the home to real estate appraisers. An eccentric taxidermist who makes his living from stuffed models of copulating animals, Bob is also untrustworthy and lazy; he nonetheless consents to Chris's request, which frees up Chris for the rest of the day and provides a much needed relief from stress. Meanwhile, in another part of town, the thug Dennis Earle (Danny Dyer) chauffeurs an American criminal associate, Mr. Gaspardi (Corey Johnson) to the airport, when Gaspardi grows violently ill - the result of curry eaten the night before - and declares that he must find a toilet in which to vomit. The two decide to find a bathroom in a nearby house, and happen upon Chris's house. Their visit, of course, falls right in the middle of the real estate tour, and a series of subsequent mishaps set the stage for a violent and outrageously messy afternoon. ...The All Together

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it, 25 Sep 2007
This review is from: The All Together [DVD] (DVD)
I couldn't rent this title so had to buy the DVD. Sure, this is a very low budget movie but that said it's completely original, smartly written and very funny. Martin Freeman is excellent as always but I reckon it's the supporting cast that really makes this weird little picture so much fun. Everyone is so obviously enjoying themselves and this translates on to the screen.

Pretty short but really enjoyable.

5.0 out of 5 stars GENUINELY VERY FUNNY... despite what the critics said, 24 Sep 2007

Made on half a shoestring... ok so there's a hole or two in it, but it's weird and it's funny and becomes more so the more times you see it. Freeman well supported in what is an ensemble piece. Very unfairly criticized by Dyer-haters on release, should become a cult classic. Give it a miss if you're a bit thick or narrow-minded - oh and your granny probably won't like it either. Otherwise, enjoy!

3.0 out of 5 stars not a bad effort, 13 Oct 2008
This review is from: The All Together [DVD] (DVD)
i watch so many films now (normally about three a day) that finding a good film in the bunch is pretty hard. I liked this film, it was humourous and well cleverly scripted and indeed it was something diffeent to watch of an evening. Danny Dyer is a good actor and usually chooses decent roles, and he went well with this one. However there was something lacking in this film. I was forever waiting for the 'best bit' to happen, but it never did. The film is fine, but not one that will stick in my mind.
