Product Description

STARSAILOR All The Plans (2009 UK limited edition 2-CD album set - All The Plans is a triumphant rediscovery of the over-arching ambition and raw emotional power that made them such a special band in the first place. Once again recorded with producer Steve Osbourne it is an album that sounds like a band finally coming of age. Walshs elegant and resonant song-writing is now matched by a vocal delivery and lyrical deftness that means he finally really inhabits the songs. Comprisingthe 11-track album with highlights including the brittle but sweeping The Thames the albums epic title track and the single Tell Me Its Not Over a taut evocative number thats undoubtedly one of the finest things Starsailor have ever written. Plus a Bonus CD featuring 7 acoustic recordings presented in a fold-out digipack picture sleeve)

Long over due new album, but worth the wait. They are back to their best with echoes of their first album Love Is Here. It is worth buying the 2 disc special for the acoustic versions plus a new track.
Like Coldplay and Keane only much better.

All The PlansI am so pleased that Starsailor are back true to form. All the songs on this album are melodious - a mix of fast, slow, thought-provoking but always crisp and arresting (I can hear some Dylan and Cash influences in some of the songs). I think James' lead vocals are the best Britain has to offer at the moment. I do have time for Coldplay, Keane, Snow Patrol etc but I have to say Starsailor have always shone more brightly for me. I can't wait to see them live in a couple of weeks on the back of this album release (last time I saw Starsailor live James was suffering a sore throat but his voice somehow still belted out magnificently). I highly recommend this short but so sweet album - love it.

Stylish Return 8 April 2009

Format:Audio CD
I have to agree with the other reviewers here and say how much I like this album. It has a real sense of maturity, hangs together really well and gets better on every play. No particular favourite tracks, I like them all! Bonus CD is well worth getting, with some outstanding accoustic versions of the album tracks.

Another great album
Starsailor have done it again with this wonderful new album. James Walsh's voice is a dream to listen to. Try it and see for yourself.

didn't make me cry
Nothing wrong with this album - easy to listen to (not in a radio two way honestly) but it didn't move me like their earlier work.

Much more substance here
This is a great album. I do not own their debut, but I have the previous two, and although I rate them too a degree, I feel there is something missing. Read more
