This DVD lives up to the high expectations of its title; it does indeed include a compilation of all the best Tina Turner live songs you could possibly hope to imagine, and what's more, they're chosen from several different tours, presumably by Tina herself, and so deliver to you the most exciting, energetic performances that she's done across the globe, not simply the most convenient nor from any one touring year. Therefore, you get favourites such as "I Can't Stand The Rain" from 1994, "River Deep Mountain High" from 1996, and "Private Dancer" from 2000. The songs chop and change between these three tours, with different members of the band, different stage constructions, and varying sized crowds, but the flow of songs is pleasing and the sequence blends seemlessly at all times, which means that it is no less relaxing than watching one complete show.
As for content, it opens with a lively sequence of videos to "Steamy Windows" which sets the energetic tone for the whole DVD. Following are all the songs you'd hope for; an excellent (and rare) "Show Some Respect", a top notch "Better Be Good To Me" and amazing renditions of "Proud Mary" and "Nutbush City Limits" with fantastic light and stage techniques which really make you wish you had been there to experience it first hand; if you did you will love reliving this, if you didn't then it's a perfect compensation prize.
However, there are some points to keep in mind before buying: if you own either "Live: One Last Time 2000" or "Live in Amsterdam 1996", then only if you are a big fan will you want this package as it relies heavily on both of these for material. However, if you have neither of those or are simply new to any Tina Turner DVDs then this a stellar introduction for you, and highly recommended.
