Just the mention of David Bowie conjurs up for many people images of spacemen, spiders from Mars, and ch-ch-changes. Those folks may not know quite what to make of the new All Saints compilation. With the exception of some chant-like, atmospheric vocals, Bowie's voice is nowhere to be heard. Instead, Bowie and his various collaborators (namely Brian Eno) experiment with ambient music as feeling that man not appeal to standard pop sensibilities. But if you want an album that surrounds and encompases you and takes you to place that most vocal albums can not, then you owe it to yourself to check this album out.
Some people have reffered to All Saints as "just another compilation".... I vehemently disagree. All Saints is a cerebral collection of music that defies classification or easy explanation.
A worthy addition to your collection, even if you already own Low and "Heroes."
