Product Description

CD Description
Debut mini-album from young British post-hardcore band who have been compared to Joy Division, Radiohead and Queens Of The Stone Age. The band were signed to Polydor imprint Fiction (home of Snow Patrol) on the back of the buzz caused by their live shows. Whilst sessions for their debut full lengthwere produced by Flood, this release was recorded with indie legend Steve Albini and also contains enhanced videos for two of its tracks.

4.0 out of 5 stars Misunderstood Experimentalists, 5 Mar 2005
By S. COLE "Si" (UK) - See all my reviews

Easy to cast them off as another Brit-emo band, there's something far more jagged and progressive about this. The Shellac-loving Geordies' tunes don't instantly appeal. Like most debuts this year, take Reuben for example, the start of the album doesn't bode well. Infact, when I requested 'All Roads To Fault' at a rock club, everyone cleared the dancefloor! It's songs like 'First Mater Responds' that will stand the test of time. Codename even managed to receive great respect after replacing Head Automatica last minute on The Used tour. Their bravery involved in that situation deserves recognition and this EP bodes well for their up-and-coming new release. Don't discard these boys, they've got the pedigree.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, 19 May 2004
First heard Milo when I saw the video to 'All Roads to Fault' on MTV. Thought it was stunning and couldn't wait to hear the full EP. Was lucky enough to get to the launch party as well, and had a stunning night. An amazing live band, it was so exciting to see them thrash around such a small stage. Awesome stuff!

4.0 out of 5 stars WOW!, 3 May 2004

yourcodenameis:milo can only be judged thus far by a couple videos they've made but dear god, you better prepare yourself for some stunning music.

Latest single "All Roads To Fault" is incredible. Brilliant guitar riffs mixed with sychzofrenic vocals makes an amazing debut. The song includes time changes and crazy dynamics which gives a feeling of a mix between biffy clyro and hell is for heroes.

I promise you, this album/band will be big. Their stuff is too good to miss. I've pre-ordered my copy!

Dave
