Product Description

Product Description

A quarterly football magazine that chronicles the highs and the lows that every true supporter goes through.

Some of the stories you will read are true, others are mere figments of the writers imagination.

Some of the stories you will read will make you laugh, and others will make you cry.

For all the times football makes you want to hug a stranger, for all the times football makes you want to punch a family member, these are the times that we will celebrate together.

5.0 out of 5 stars So good I read it twice (so far)! 24 Mar. 2013

Been waiting to read this for a wee while so raced through it first time, with more than a few snorts and belly laughs along the way, and an unexpected lump in my throat. Second time around am even more impressed - your 70's striker has fairly stirred up the old memories, Ally! Looking forward to more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant 19 Mar. 2013

I'll start by stressing that you should buy this magazine simply because it's a bloody good read with entertaining and interesting articles written by accomplished authors. When following football has become a murky, cynical experience the content in this is funny, relatable and at times very touching and poignant. A really refreshing change from the norm.

What really sets this apart however is the attitude taken by the editor Ally. Where almost every website and blog is profiting unfairly from online content voluntarily provided by fans, Ally took the approach to pay every contributor up front. Having been following the work of some of the bloggers featured here for some time I can not only vouch for their quality but also the dedication they have taken to write unpaid. I've dabbled in some online writing before and know the feeling of frustration that comes from giving my time and content away for free. To have a publication that is actually rewarding them for their time and effort is not only an excellent initiative but also a sensible and thoroughly decent one.

99p is not only a small price to pay for great work but knowing that it's going to deserving people makes it even better. Looking forward to future editions.

Recommended to this via Twitter given I follow a few of the contributors on Twitter. Cannot recommend this highly enough. Superb work, wonderful articles and a terrific direction from the editor.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good football 'magazine'. 4 April 2013
Verified Purchase
Excellent, quick read, well worth the 99p it cost.

Written by football fans who seem to have done it just because they love the game, rather than to make money out of it.

I hope there'll be more of this, it's like a breath of fresh air compared to 'news' papers and their football sensationalism stories.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Outstanding Debut 1 April 2013
Verified Purchase
A great first edition. Excellent mixture of opinion, fiction and random nonsense, with more honesty and emotion in a paragraph than some titles can manage in a full magazine.

By focusing on the game from a fan's perspective, AoN is a welcome alternative to more 'traditional' publications...and it's an absolute bargain.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent writing, fantastic price 26 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase
Honest and witty writing from people who understand football and how it makes us feel. So much is written about football but so little of it captures the truth and humour of what it means to those of us who enjoy and suffer it in equal measures this well. Brilliant value at 99p.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really good football writing. 25 Mar. 2013
By rkeaney
This is very good. Football writing has been growing ever since the dawn of the internet; probably. All Or Nothing is another fine example of that.

Moncrieff has a comfortable, friendly, self-deprecating style that quickly sets the reader at ease and he is accompanied by a reasonably stellar roster of writers around him.

A rather refreshing entry in the somewhat stale area of twitter football journalism. Personal, well intentioned and frequently hilarious pieces by a number of journalists both frustratingly better and younger than me in a nice simple format for a nice simple price.

Not for; Fans of Stoke City or Gary Megson
For; Fans of honesty and anyone rather fed up with the over bearing swill of twitter psuedo-journalism and shout out culture.
