Whilst Tesco may be acting as an authorised retailer, personally I'd rather buy my Kindle straight from Amazon. Have Amazon agreed to sell through other stores?

I'm not sure as my purchase was a gift. You could call customer service on 0800 496 4202 and check with them.

I think it will be covered. I bought one for as a gift for my son and was told the 3 year insurance ( if bought at the same time as the kindle) will automatically cover it. You could always 'phone the protection plan customer support on 0800 496 4202 to check.

Hi, the first paragraph of my policy states " replacement if your product breaks down" however this means if my original breaks down they will replace it. If Amazon replace it, I am not sure, you know what these companies are like?! They have a free phone number 7am - 9pm 0800 496 4204 Customer support, might be worth giving them a call. Hope this helps. M

I have a Paperwhite purchased in March, it has wifi but I don't know if it is 3G. I am not very tech savvy. I bought the protection plan and it arrived very swiftly. Hope this helps.

These policies cover Kindles and other electronic products. The policy seems very thorough and although I have been lucky and not needed to claim, I am happy with the peace of mind provided. Thoroughly recommended. Hope this helps.

Says "All risks", however not read all the policy..Your travel insurance will cover it if you tell the insurers you have one, friend claimed off his travel insurance when his bag disappeared into the International Airport baggage maze.
