Format:Audio CD
In 56 minutes Haskell takes us from the spiritually relaxed sounds of the first track to the feeling of wantingto get up there & shake some booty with "The Right Time".
The aptly named album "All My Life" moves between what we as the audience can only guess at as the highs and lows..the lows oh so sensually given in "Chilli Chilli". The cover conveys Haskell sat in a cafe with a cup of coffee in front of him and cigarette in hand- the thoughtful, asthetic jazz/blues scene that audiences have come to know and love but "Chilli Chilli", in particular, makes us think. Just maybe this is a man, whose genius for his music, passion of his art, penchant for tellin it how it is, has struggled to get where he is. But no "mumbo jumbo"- he deserves it. This is a man with- not a sudden gift from God, not a life full of downs that have made him sing the blues with such feeling, but a man with a vast array of talent that has been kept hidden for far too long. "All My Life" is a compilation of songs,full of jazz, blues, feelings(!) written & performed by Haskell (mostly(c)) 1983. So why, all my life, have I never heard "mumbo jumbo" so good??

2 or maybe 3 very nice songs, where Mr Gordon Haskell shows his beautiful poetry and very intense lovely soft strong voice he sings so purely. I would give my life for hearing One love will do, live version once in a lifetime but it is impossible. Also Nothing in this world would make you stay makes my heart sing and cry at the same time. And Today is all we got shows you what really is important in life. And maybe Chilli chilli. but those rest I refuse totally to listen, they are awful, with neverending intros and long borinnng difficult painful closures. And some are way to sweet. 2 points.
