Biography

Day after day, in every news program on this planet, the Middle-East conflict is a major topic and it is one of the reasons the world we all live in is a world apart. For decades every attempt to make peace between Israel and the Arabian world has remained futile and the death toll keeps rising. Where politicians have failed, a mere metal band daringly labelling its style “Jewish Muslim ... Read more in Amazon's Orphaned Land Store

Finally Orphaned Land are back and sounding absolutely fantastic, the perfect blend of Middle-Eastern sound and metal. So much better than the last album, it's quite probably their best yet.

I follow Orphaned Land since the beginning and i enjoy very much their early works, but i lost touch with them in the middle of their path, getting reconected with their previous album THE NEVER ENDING WAY OF ORWARRIOR, wich is probably my favorite Orphaned Land album.

All is One is a grower, and i enjoyed it more each time that i listened to it, despite that, the feeling that i had about the orchestral arrangements didnt changed, and for me it could be a better album if it was more raw and more harsh.

Favorite tracks: All is One, The Simple Man and Fail.

I love the touches of middle eastern music with their songs,it makes them the masters of a much underpopulated musical landscape.there are other artists working in similar areas, bands like Melechesh,Bilocate and Myrath to name a few. It's a very magical and otherworldy sound,a spiritual metal that crosses over into the world of guys bashing loud guitars and this time they took a slightly simpler more laid back approach. It's still epic and has orchestras but seems a bit more personal and delicate at the same time. The expanded version has a nice documentary and an exclusive track and two different versions of album tracks, and is packaged in a nice book style digipack that suits the artwork better. If you want to be seranaded a bit more and be less battered by a metal band, they can help you.

and he said he likes it. I have listened it at some points and i do admit, it's not really my thing, however, it's okay, so i wouldn't say no if somebody wanted to listen to it in a crowded place or anything. I think it's okay... as long as daddy is happy, I'm happy too. :)
