i only just got this about a week ago-but i've listened to it about ten times or so.i was hoping it was going to be a grower(like relationship of command by atdi)but it is'nt.its average metalic hard core that trys to set itself apart from its peers by having a female vocalist.the vocalist screams dutifully through the discs entirety and its only when,on one song, vocal duties are shared that you can start to tune in.the end track is a instrumental that hints that wall.. have some originality about them-its ace.however,on the whole,walls..fail to inspire me.they tick all the boxes ie the screaming, the chugging and even the bro hymm style ooohhh ooohhhh ooohhh etc etc that is hardcore, its just that its not convincing to me and it does'nt move me.this is hardcore treading water...not going anywhere.if you want some of the good stuff try- strike anywhere 'change is a sound' or american nightmares 'background music'.all the best.

This album came recommended from a friend and wow was it good advice. The Walls of Jericho straddle the line between metal and hardcore perfectly, with candace kucsulain's vocals fitting in superbly with the hard as nails guitar and drums. The only thing i'd say is that many fans of the genre don't like female vocals as much as me so if it's not your thing then walls of jericho probably aren't your thing.

Not as good as the other releases. 15 July 2004
By HeidiKakes - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
All Hail The Dead is a bit of a step backwards for Walls of Jericho. Instead of progressing with their unique brand of Slayer-influenced Metalcore they have decided to go Youth Crew to a degree. While traditional hardcore will always be great, Walls of Jericho focuses too much on trying to get its listeners to start a one-man moshpit. This album is essentially one continuous breakdown.

Candace also manages to ruin several songs by overlaying singing on top of screaming. While those two may work seperately, together her weak singing voice overshadows her powerful blood-curdling screams. Despite all this criticism I still recommend this for all Walls of Jericho fans and hardcore fans in general, just don't go into expecting another Bound Feed The Gagged or you will be disappointed.

Well-played, yet boring 25 May 2005
By cosmokane31 - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Walls of Jericho play tight and ferocious metalcore, but the breakdowns are predictable, full of second-rate Pantera riffs. Pedaling on open strings can only go so far, and without solos, melody, or other textures, the songs eventually run together. Singer Candace Kucsulain has an interesting voice, but ends up sounding same-y after a while. Seldom has music so well-played been so boring.
