This blu-ray disc pretty much delivers what it promises and is a significant inprovement on the Pierce Brosnan dvd of the 2006 world cup. It was great to observe the many fantastic goals from this tournament in high definition.
All the Goals blu-ray is well organised being neatly indexed by a group by group basis. I like the way each goal is shown several times and from different camera angles. Each goal is accompanied by full commentary; admitedly some of the commentary is a little bit cheesy but at least the commentators show life and passion for the material at hand. This is in direct contrast to the listless Pierce Brosnan commentary on the alternative 2006 World Cup disc available for purchase.
Furthermore, you get a round up of each group at the conclusion of it, which shows you the group table and the qualifiers. A type of chart showing each of the teams route to the final is also illustrated at the conclusion of each round. Bonus content on this blu ray is limited but you are treated to the top 10 goals and top 10 saves of the tournament. For some reason Maxi Rodiguez's wonder strike is selected as the top goal as opposed to the sublime team goal from the Argentinians.
On the downside not all the penalty shoot out kicks are included on this blu ray disc, which is disappointing. Additionally, no further content beyond the goals is shown from the matches, even the infamous Zidane headbutt is omitted.
However, this is the best disc available that covers this tournament so I would readily recommend it.
