I got this song as a free download from Amazon. It convinced me to purchase the re issue of Exile On Main Street. I guess that was the reason for giving it away free at the time. That said I would have paid whatever it takes to get this version of this great song. It seems to be of a greater pace than the version that made it to the LP, and at the moment I prefer it. I would urge you to purchase or download this song, and get the re issued LP, some of the previously un issued songs are excellent, far superior to anything else that will be released this year, or anything that has been released for many many years. Exile On Main Street is the sound of The Rolling Stones at their very best, they have never sounded better, in fact nobody else has ever come close to sounding this good, and this version of All Down The Line is a fine taster for what to expect.

How cool is this 15 May 2010
How cool is this, Amazon - a free Rolling Stones download. One of my favourites too. Shame it's not available in the USA

I loved this track, even more so when it was free. As a sampler it awakened my interest in the Stones. Sometimes you just forget to play some CDs. After listening to this I dug out my old discs and sent my mind back in time - Happy Days!

Historical interest only
This track is an out-take from the Exile on Main street sessions, and is quite different to the version on the album - stripped down, with no over-dubs and rather weak vocals. Read more

Its the Stones!
"Exile" is one the best albums ever made, so any kind of alternate version, take or out-take has got to be worth a listen. And this is great! Read more

"All down the line " - rolling stones mp3
Another classic track by The Stones, just like vintage wine, they get better and better with time.

If you haven't heard it, you're missing out.

The Rolling Stones are my era, They can do no wrong
I think it's amazing that they can still produce good stuff after all these years.
Brilliant.

I'm Free
Lacking the urgency of the final 'Exiles' track, this shows the Stones at work, and starting to shape the song. Excellent quality and it is free. Thank you Amazon.

So irritating!!!
I'm really quite upset by this - why are the Stones (or Amazon.co.uk) making this available only to people in the United Kingdom? Read more
