I knew as soon as I read into the first few pages I would be writing a review on Amazon, and I was so glad i was reading this book in the comfort of my own home, because i could barely suppress my laughter as each sentence filled me with such pleasure and joy that I had to put the book down as the tears from laughing so hard ripped through me. I knew people would have stared and backed away if I had been reading this book in my usual location; the train on the way to work. My family themselves asked me to quieten down as I was disturbing their meal. I laughed loudly, long, and hard, and I feel like my abdominal muscles had their own little private workout. Forget the gym, read this book and you'll never have to firm those muscles again. Her first effort Love Letters In The Sand, which I must admit bought only for curiosity's sake, I thought it was the actress Sharon Stone, but I was pleasantly surprised when I began to read the book I had purchased blindly. It was very mature, sombre in some places and very heartfelt, a true romantic story at heart. There was some humour in her first novel, but none that surpassed the second. All the Bold Days of My Restless Life is a hilarious take on the life of a head writer and the show that she heads. The characters were superbly written, and I could see every one of them in mind's eye, hating the correct characters vehemently, laughing at the idiotic and downright brain-dead characters, and loving everyone else.
I could not stop laughing from the second I picked up the book and read the first caustic words of the lead character Bailey Connors and her co-workers. If you do not read this book and immediately, need a quick stop to the toilet, you have no sense of humour. I read this book in about two hours because I could not stand to put the book down for fear that somehow I would miss a quip or Sharon Stones' wit in her second novel.
Well done Ms Stone, I look forward to your next effort, probably ripping the first copy off the shelf before the book has time to warm the shelf. I will probably feel the heat of the printer's as I crack open that first page, and begin the familiar isolation of friends and family as I read your next offering.

i was given this book for xmas by my partner (who was sucked in by the reviews posted here) and it is, quite simply, the worst book i have ever read. it is appallingly over written with terrible characterisations. all the obvious cliches are there and i only kept reading to see if it ended as badly as it started. it did.
this tells you nothing whatsoever about what it's like working in tv and is extraordinarily unfunny. i groaned all the way through it. avoid like the plague.

With only her second book, Sharon Stone has become my new favorite author. This is an expertly crafted comedy, which no one else out there is writing. For those who loved Dallas and Falcon Crest and the like, this is the book for you. It reveals all the hilarious goings on behind the cameras of the daytime variety soap opera.
