Biography

Nirvana were formed by singer/guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic in Aberdeen, Washington in 1987. Nirvana went through a succession of drummers, the longest-lasting being Dave Grohl, who joined the band in 1990.

In the late 1980s Nirvana established itself as part of the Seattle grunge scene, releasing first album Bleach for the independent record label Sub Pop in 1989. The band… Read more in Amazon's Nirvana Store

5.0 out of 5 stars All apologies, a fitting tribute., 13 May 2004
This review is from: All Apologies (Audio CD)
I fist heard this single during the Kurt cobain R.I.P week on mtv2 and vh2. I saw the mtv unplugged session thery did and this was one of the songs on the lineup. I found it depressing, as for whatever reason it will be the song I associate with kurts passing. However no matter how much it depresses me, i still find it a good song that always sticks inmy head for hours after I hear it, and comes to mind at random times. I give this a 5 out of 5 as one of the best songs i have ever heard.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great single from the greatest band!, 22 Jan 2001

This review is from: All Apologies (Audio CD)
Nirvana have always been my favourite band, and this CD only serves to reinforce my opinion of them. The single itself, all apologies, is an outstanding track but I feel that it is the second song, rape me, that is in fact the highlight of this cd because it is a prime example of what Nirvana are capable of. The third track doesn't really have any great affect on me even though it is a good song. In short, if you are a fan of nirvana or just grunge, than this cd will not disappoint. Long live the memories of Kurt!

5.0 out of 5 stars It's Nirvana..., 12 Jun 2008

The point being that Nirvana have never really steered us wrong musically and if you are a fan, then buy this. If not, don't. If you are only a fan or the radio hits, then I would not suggest it either.

Overall, it is Nirvana, so it is hard to go wrong.

This is totally worth the money if you like Nirvana or grunge music in general. "All Apologies" and "Rape Me" are two totally great songs from the In Utero album but the real reason to get this is the b-side "Moist Vagina". It's probably just meant as a joke but it's still a great song.

4.0 out of 5 stars MV-Different, Addictive Song, 18 Jun 1998

The other two songs can be found almost anywhere, but this is only one of a few places I've found Moist V. (and I am a huge nirvana fan/collector). MV is a hipnotic song with a good dose of outright guitar.
