We found this guide on our first trip in our "bus" to France excellent. BUT a word of caution, do not leave your brains in the back of your Motorhome, we found some of the GPS co-ordinants were incorrect, we like others were directed in one case down a virtual dead end road that got narrower ,and narrower with not place to turn around. On another occasion one Aire did not exist at all having been closed down, and the road designated as being prohibited for Motorhome access, but we still followed the GPS instructions rather stupidly and could have ended up with a large fine. So in short our advise is use the book to get near to the Aire, then use your eyes and common sense to look for the "Aire" or "camping car" signs and follow them in preference. Once we adapted our use of the book like this it was plain sailing, Enjoy.

Having just returned from a month long holiday in France, we found the book absolutely invaluable. Most of the camperstops we would not have found by ourselves. Quite a few were in idyllic surroundings and all were close to either a village or a town, easily reached by walking or bicycle. The book was easy to use and the instructions were great. We would not go away without it now!

What a disappointment. I had asked to be notified when reprinted which I was. However the item sent was the same as the old one I bought years ago! What a waste of time and money.

camper van neccesity
If you're heading to France with your camper van, this book is a neccesity. But sadly it's not always accurate - of the first three aires we tried, not one was still available. Read more

All the Aires France
A very usefull and informative book written for the novice and seasoned travelers. I hope it gets lots of use, all I need now is a sat-nav that I can input GPS co-ordinates.
