* I am author of the books: 'What is Philosophy?' (Dunedin Academic Press, 2008) and 'The Answers Lie Within Us' (Ashgate Publishing, 1998).
* I was born in Dunfermline, educated in Dundee, and am presently living in Glasgow.
* I received my Ph.D from Glasgow University in July 1998 for the thesis, 'The Emergence of Philosophical Inquiry in 18th Century Scotland'. My M.Phil was from Strathclyde University in 1993 for the thesis, 'Thomas Reid and the Foundations of Perceptual Knowledge'.
