Book Description

Embark upon an out-of-this-world adventure in this fourth book in New York Times bestselling author Christopher Pike’s Spooksville series—now on TV!

When Adam and his friends stay up late one night, they see bright lights in the sky. Lights that look suspiciously like flying saucers. Then, the next night, one of the saucers lands by the reservoir, and the creatures who come out of the ship don’t look like people at all. Their heads are too large, and their eyes are too big and black. Worse, they want Adam and his friends to come with them for a little ride in space. In fact, the aliens insist that they come. They practically drag the kids into their ship. Then the flying saucer takes off! And it doesn’t look like they'll be coming back anytime soon. Can Adam and his friends figure out a way to get home?

4.0 out of 5 stars A good book for young sci-fi lovers 20 May 2001
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
One of my favourite authors who never fails to dissapoint me has written three of his best books in one. Pike is an excellent author who always manages to create an imaginary world full of exciting adventures and terrifying situations you would love to find yourself in. The bond he creates between the different characters and the courageous acts they perform to save each others lives makes you wish you had friends like these (there are some quite fanciable characters as well). I found it very enjoyable partly because of the above and also because I am a very critical person, but I couldn't think of anything terribly wrong with this book ( though it could've been slightly more creative, as I have remembered reading a few of these scenarios in his previous books in the series(which is why it recieved 4 stars)). If you have enjoyed books by authors, L.J Smith, Lois Duncan or R.L Stine, this is a must read for you!

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent adventure on aliens and our Earth. 5 Mar. 2001
By kareem - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
As i said before i enjoy the Spooksville series very much. Aliens in the Sky is a particularly good one. I think Mr. Pike has more to say rather than thrill the readers. More than a typical horror thriller, it shows what humanity will be like in a couple of thousand years. He makes environmentally aware which is also the case in "Attack of the Killer Crabs". Anyhow, at the rate we are going at, i think what Christopher Pike predicted is inevitable, let alone it being a perfect horror story. I half-expected finding an alien by my bedside when i turned over in bed.

It normally takes me just a couple hours to read books I think are interesting but the spooksville books just take me about one hour to an hour and thirty minutes without being interupted, I reccommend this book to any of the young teens and pre-teens who like magical jorneys, aliens, witches, and many other weird things.

This is a good book. I got it for Christmas 1997. Belive me, I'm glad I did, you should read it for yourself. Even if your a skeptic, you'll enjoy this book. Another Spooksville book I recommened is "Night of the Vampire." Go on, read it... if you dare!
